North Carolina State University Wins Fifth-Annual Rabies Symposium!

With great pleasure, the Global Alliance for Rabies Control awarded the 2012 Merial Rabies Symposium to North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine In its fifth year of engaging U.S. veterinary schools around rabies prevention, on September 29, 2012, Merial brought together more than 200 veterinarians, technicians, veterinary students and public health officials for this year’s Merial Rabies Symposium, hosted by North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During the day-long symposium, students along with a group of international public health and veterinary medical experts discussed the successes and challenges of rabies prevention under the theme, “Local Efforts Taking Global Roots.” This year’s symposium engaged more than 50 online participants who joined via webinar including veterinarians, students, and other professionals from Bangladesh to Grenada.
