In conjunction with other fundraising initiatives to mark World Rabies Day, September 28, 2008, VWB/ VSF is asking all veterinary clinics and hospitals to help raise funds to support our global rabies prevention programs. The team that raises the most money will win a trip for two to visit a VWB/VSF international project! The second place team will win a trip for two to New York City! All successful fundraising teams will be eligible for a draw to win the third prize: Aeroplan miles for a tip for two anywhere in Canada or the US (excluding Hawaii). Some fundraising ideas include: dog washes, nail-clipping clinics, silent auctions, donation boxes (ask clients to donate), ask your clinic to match your donations…. Be creative!

Dr. Dedmon is former VP Medical Affairs at Kimberly-Clark Corporation (1976-1997) and currently serves as a volunteer for the Rabies Working Group for WRD 2008.
